The knife has a great weight to it and is perfect for people like me who don’t have strong hands and find it hard to cut through sourdough loaves. It’s perfectly sharp and I love the finish of the metal. I would opt for a shorter version as well, as sometimes this is longer than what I need to get the job done.

i only had a older, thinner and smaller bread knife from my college days. for things like sourdough, bagels, or french bread there was some extra sawing and elbow grease i had to apply. this knife makes life so much easier! great upgrade choice if you're looking to replace an older knife. fits great in my knife / utensil stand even though it's quite a bit longer than my other everyday knives.

I purchased this knife to cut through crusty breads.  I did not have a loaf available to highlight this, but you get the use case.  I know that it can and should do more, but it is the one knife that I've yet to add to my daily activities.  The one piece construction makes it easy to hand wash.

Bought as bread knife but multi functional as it cuts straight thru tomatoes and other squishy veggies that’s slightly more difficult to cut. Similar to the chef knife, this is super sharp knife and am very pleased. Heavier than “fancier” knives - just enough to notice if that’s what the comparison is against.

Lightweight but not cheap. Quality forge. I do wish the grip wasn't a smooth aluminum so it would have some give, and wouldn't hurt my hand to cut into very hard vegetables. Regardless excited to use every knife in the set!
