Have been waiting for Italic to come out with suitcases again -- such good quality at such a good price. Only complaint with this one is that it only has a handle on the top, no handles on either side or on the bottom. Makes it hard to stow it in plane and generally handle it.

I like that for a price of $200 you're getting what essentially is an Away luggage. I really enjoy using the handle since I can adjust at any height and it stays in place while rolling. The quiet wheels make the experience of rolling your luggage across a city a breeze. Looking forward to seeing how the Miles 2.0 - Check-In holds up over time, so far so good!

Lovely wheels and handle

The suitcase (especially the wheels) held up great through the cobblestone streets of Paris. Easily gets scratched on the exterior. Lightweight bag. The handlebar and the TSA lock are of great quality.  

Must-have for traveling

Bought this one as a gift for my mom, and will be buying one for my partner as well. Super lightweight, comes in a nice dust cover, and seems to be good quality. My mom took it all over Italy for a three week trip and it performed well.

I’ve needed to upgrade my old carry on for awhile and was waiting for the away suitcase to go on sale. The olive color is gorgeous and the inside details thoughtful. Perfect for my next trip.

Just what I wanted

This luggage is high quality. The smooth wheels made navigating in airports a breeze. The design is clean and functional. I really appreciate the nice muted color that differentiates but looks professional. One downside is that the outside surface seems to scratch easily.

I ordered this for my husband after buying an AWAY back from myself. The bag seems a little bit sturdier than my own bag, and the four-way rolling is phenomenal. This is an excellent bag.

Very light, spacious with well organized compartments. No visible logo. I got this in addition to the aluminum carry-on because it fits more and plastic is light so it doesn’t take away from carrying on to the budget airline.

Very nice quality suitcase, zipper can be a little tricky but overall great!

Haven’t used it yet, but the check in bag looks really great.  I bought it to match my carry on also from Italic.  I’ve included photos of the nice locking mechanism on top and of the side that has a “blank nameplate” so you’re aware of it.  It doesn’t bother me, but it may bother some people.

Sleek and lightweight

Feels like a steal compared to the away suitcase. It’s large and feels comparably lighter but the roll is smooth.

Suitcase came in great shape. Smooth wheels and zippers. Only time will tell if it holds up during travel but off to a great start.

Love this bag! Only used it for a flight once but no issues in overhead space and the wheels run so well! I like that there two compartments either side and the adjustable cover on one side. As good as, if not better than the Away bag my colleague had.

Love the look and feel, lock is great, handle works at any height, and it has handy packing compartments. Only drawback is the shell seems kinda thin, but it is lightweight.

This luggage exceeded my expectations from the incredible quality to the sleek design to the (steal of a) price! I've taken it with me on multiple flights over the past few months and it's been very durable and reliable. It also comes with a built-in lock which was a great feature.

Great Carry On

This is a solid suitcase. Lightweight, fairly well made, thoughtfully designed. But at nearly $170, I think it's a little less of a value proposition than other italic products. Similarly, while I'm perfectly happy with the suitcase's performance, just a few notes on things you can't see on the images: the zippers, while waterproof, are only moderately sturdy--I wouldn't call them burly or anything. The polycarbonate shell is pretty lightweight and flexible, and the suitcase handles can be a little too bulky for smaller hands. But overall quality of the construction is good, the locking mechanism is great, and the wheels are the smoother than I've used on luggage four times the price. 

Quality product, but not a perfect value proposition. 

Overall, this is a great suitcase! More affordable than some of the other premium newer brands, but still feels like I'm getting quality and design. I have not yet traveled with it yet, so not sure how durable it actually is. My only complaint is the zipper pulls already showing wear without hardly any use.

I was a bit disappointed, though I still believe it’s a good product. I like italic because it offers amazing value for a relatively low cost. I don’t think this was up to standard on the value part. 

Good, but not as good as other italic products. 

I've put this suitcase through the ringer this past year and it's still held up well! Def recommend. 

One star docked because it doesn't feel as sturdy as Away and other comparable brands. Not the biggest deal, but the past few times I've used it, I've had brief moments of "omg is this going to survive the journey." Haha, so far, it has!

Great Luggage

I was really excited to receive this suitcase, but after a few trips I've realized that I miss the small strap on the suitcase side for easier maneuverability in/out of overhead bins. I would love if future versions of the product included this! The suitcase is also very smooth, and will easily scratch while traveling, if that matters to you this may not be the right suitcase for you. 

Good, reliable suitcase

Pros: Impressive wheel design made it easy to maneuver over any surface. It just rolls smoothly and effortlessly (noticeably better than my Away suitcase.) Excellent weather-resistant zipper. Everything works fine. 

Cons: Exterior is a bit too minimal. The velcro divider is not great for compression. There is no side handle, which makes it awkward to remove from overhead bins in airplane. Laundry bag is not included.

Overall good value, quality, superior wheels 

i purchased the carry-on version. it's well made (the wheels are great) but the hard shell seems less durable than other brands. i have used this 2-3 times and there are scratches and a minor dent. still, good value for the price.

I've had an Away carryon for 4 years and love it. This seems like a good comp (but just lighter in both weight and construction).

Pros: gorgeous color; silky wheels (Hinomoto is one of the best); smooth telescoping handle; 35% less than Away.

Cons: case plastic feels thin and the surface is completely smooth, which may scratch and show scuffs more. Compression layer only works if you have enough stuff (b/c of where velcro engages) V2.0 no longer has the packing cubes included (bummer).

Well-made but may scratch and show them easily

Everything was on par regarding product specs and photos. Wheels were buttery smooth at the airport and quiet. The telescopic handle and zippers are of good quality. 

One thing to note is that the carry on version of this bag does not have a handle on the side. Definitely can use a side handle when loading this luggage on the overhead of a plane and/or configuring bags in a car trunk. 

I did 2 trips so far and overall this luggage is sturdy. 


Good, but can be better. 

Looks chic, inside looks exactly like away suitcase. The metal label is a bit weird but not a big deal.

Note:  I have not yet traveled with this carry on but it seems sturdy, is attractive and is well designed inside.  Be aware that the external shows smudges easily, but that’s not a show stopper.

Haven’t used it yet but seems well built and solid. Like the handle and wheels. Will see if it holds up but I’m optimistic.

This was a really sleek and attractive suitcase. The wheels do indeed sound silent when rolling around the house, and the zippers are covered, so it should work pretty well to resist water.

My biggest gripes are lack of color selection (currently only green and black) and there no being a side handle (more difficult to flip on the side if heavy). The check-in luggage is also smaller than I’d prefer.

Overall, seems like a decent option. 

Decent option

I haven’t used it yet but I’m happy with the look and the weight for a hard suitcase. I got the green color and like that’s it’s slightly different than the black everyone has (in dim light looks grayish). I wish it was priced slightly lower, hence the four stars. I got this as I had site credit and I hate that everyone has the same Away suitcases now.

Nice, but I expected more

Overall I’m happy with the purchase.

Carry on fits in the check in luggage which makes it easier for storage. Both suitcases arrived with a protective bag which can be used when storing them.

Color is great, it’s very lightweight, handle and wheels work great and feel sturdy. The only reason why I am giving 4/5 is the zipper. It’s hard to unzip/zip the bags even without anything inside. It also feels fragile - l worry it will break/open when I fill the suitcase. I would also read the dimensions carefully, the check in suitcase it smaller than I imagined. 

Other than the zipper - it’s perfect. 

Can’t beat the price! 

Honestly so sad that the quality of this product wasn't better. it's cute on the outside but it misses all the practical stuff like handles on the side, and it scratched SO quickly - literally on my first trip.

Well-made suitcase with some major flaws

Decent quality with silent wheels. The main issue was the advertised "CARRY ON" is really not a carry on except on 1-2 airlines. All other uses the TSA standard of 22" carry on. This is a 24", make sure you know before buying. The italic aluminum carry on is the 22" which makes me question why the difference in sizes for the same "carry on" designation.

All in all, worth the price as long as you use it for a road trip or a check in. The silent wheels are AMAZING though and i wish it latched.
